"This is the second time I've had a State Form, and when you remove a car from your policy, they don't send proof to the DMV that you have insurance. The DMV ends up sending you a ticket to your house or suspending your registration. It takes two months to resolve the problem! All the while, you're paying for storage to keep your unregistered car! I absolutely do not recommend them. They don't send proof of your new insurance to the DMV even though you submit it. I think they do it as revenge."

In this particular situation, I appreciate the opportunity to set the record straight, but also to inform anyone else who reads this the process when it comes to the NY DMV. The DMV notice you reference is related to proof of insurance from your new insurance company, not from our office. When a vehicle is removed from a policy due to switching carriers, the new insurer is responsible for electronically notifying the DMV that coverage has been placed. Unfortunately we are unable to submit proof of insurance to the DMV on behalf of another insurance company. As a result, any delay in reporting new coverage would need to be addressed with the company that issued the new policy. We understand how frustrating DMV notices can be, and hope the matter has since been resolved. If there’s ever anything related to your State Farm policy that we can assist you with, our office is always happy to help!"
